The Defense Contract Audit Agency received somewhat of a cheerless review from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on use of contractors’ internal audit reports. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2013 mandated certain requirements on internal audit request guidance for the DCAA. After implementation of these requirements, the GAO was required to assess if the DCAA complied with the mandates.
