TAX ALERT: New E-filing Requirements for Virginia Pass-Through Entities

Virginia has expanded its electronic filing and payment requirements for business taxpayers. Effective January 1, 2015, all pass-through entity tax returns must be filed electronically and all tax payments (i.e., withholding payments and tax due payments) made by pass-through entities must be made electronically. The electronic filing and payment requirements apply to returns for tax year 2014 and after. The electronic filing mandate does not apply to returns for tax years prior to 2014.
